Due to the time, resources required, and the distance between put-in and take-out, all float trips are scheduled as full day floats. Please note that trips on the Upper North Platte and Encampment Rivers are traditionally available within a limited time window due to water flow regimes in the region. Please inquire as to optimal times to experience these phenomenal rivers as run-off begins to subside.

All trips require the purchase of a Colorado Fishing License (please bring a valid drivers licesne to the shop to have a fishing license printed).

Float Trips ::
All float trips include lunch, water, and all necessary equipment (rods, reels, waders, and boots). Upper Platte and Encampment trips require each angler to purchase 1 dozen flies and a leader.

Both the Upper Platte and Encampment offer short time frames for ideal conditions. Please contact the shop for more information on conditions and best time of year to fish these rivers.

Wade Trips ::
We offer walk/wade trips on the following waters::

Cache la Poudre - Big Thompson - Upper North Platte - Rocky Mountain National Park.

All walk wade guide trips include, lunch, water, and all necessary equipment (rods, reels, waders and boots). Terminal tackle is not included and each angler is required to purchase a leader and 1 dozen flies. Walk/Wade and Instructional trips can be conducted as full or half-day trips, and to maximize your learning experience, instructional trips are conducted with one or two anglers only.

Private Water ::
The Laramie River offers some of the best private water in the area. It is a pristine freestone stream that holds large brown trout, which rise readily on dry flies. A day on the Laramie is unlike any other experience. Trips to the Laramie take place during a short window of time, please call the shop for best water conditions and time frames.

Private water trips rates are the same as all walk wade prices plus rod fee.

Rod fee: $25 per angler

2 Angler Full Day (including rod fee) $350

Since most of our fishing takes place in Mountain areas we always recomend to bring some form of layering and/or a waterproof coat. If you dont have a rain coat then please make sure to let us know so we can have one availble for you.

Gratuity for your guide is not included in our pricing structure. Our hard working guides average $50 a day in tips for walk wades and $100 a day in tips for float trips.
