Fall brings on a hint of change for all species of fish.  Colder weather and darker days brings on a more frantic approach to feeding and aggression not seen in the previous months.  This is a bad time of year to be a small trout in our rivers!  Pressure on the river drops quicker than the flows as hunting season draws people away for the next few months, allowing other anglers to enjoy serenity and solitude, as well as opportunities at some of the biggest fish of the season.

Join us at St. Peter’s South for a Free Streamer Fishing Presentation on Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  We will go over the basic rigs and tactics used when approaching streamer fishing, whether it’s here on the Poudre, or on larger pieces of water where truly huge trout lurk.  Give us a call at (970) 377-3785 to get signed up.  Don’t let another season go by without truly understanding what streamer fishing is all about!
