Wednesday, May 24th 5:30-6:30 at St. Pete's South

Where we are situated on the northern front range of Colorado, we have countless opportunities at a wide variety of fish species beyond the realm of trout.  Summer evenings wet wading quiet local ponds shooting poppers into holes in weeds and cattails for bass is one of the most fun things you can do next working through a Green Drake hatch.  Creeping up and dropping a fly to a pod of cruising or tailing carp resembles permit or bonefish fishing so much, if you close your eyes and take a deep breathe, you can swear you can taste salt in the breeze.  Or maybe you want to match your wits and strength to the much misunderstood and underestimated northern pike, a fish that regularly grows longer than your leg and dishes out the most ruthless, visual eat on your fly five feet in front of your very own eyes.

At St. Pete’s we are all suckers for the warm water species, and in this state where trout take the main stage, many people overlook and take for granted the opportunities we have right here within the city limits of Fort Collins and Colorado.  On Wednesday, May 24th we are giving a Free Warm Water Presentation at the south shop, to answer any questions and to get people excited for the up and coming warm water season!  Give us a call at 970-377-3785 and get yourself signed up, space is limited!
