Who We Are 

First, we’re fly anglers. We don’t fly fish because we work at Skwala; we work at Skwala because we fly fish. Most of our team are recovering fishing guides. We’ve also helped build some of the biggest names in the outdoor industry—brands like Simms, Orvis, Sitka, Yeti, Arc’teryx, and others. We left those companies to create the fly fishing apparel we always wished for. 

What We Do

We combine fly fishing focused design with the most advanced materials and textiles on the market to make better gear. We also support the culture and community of fly fishing. We love fly shops and try to make sure that we’re helping those businesses instead of undermining them. We believe art and storytelling shape and define our unique subculture, so we work with and promote writers, filmmakers, and artists. We also know fly fishing doesn’t exist without healthy fisheries, and healthy fisheries don’t exist without hard work and sacrifice. We are committed to supporting meaningful conservation when and where we can and never using conservation as a cheap marketing ploy.

What Makes Skwala Different

We make thoughtful, dependable, comfortable gear—so meticulously built and thoroughly tested that you hardly notice it—allowing you to focus on more important things, like fishing. When you’re drifting down the river hunting rising trout, don’t think about the advanced internal cuffs on your jacket keeping rainwater out.
