Grey Reef Fishing Report
Latest Update: 5/02/2025
Current Streamflow : 2007 cfs @ Grey Ree3
Warmer weather and longer days are finally here, and the Grey Reef will be sitting at its higher summer flows for the remainder of the warm season. The flush has recently ended, and both the fish and bugs are out and moving. We’ve seen success on attractor rigs with leeches, scuds, and worms up top followed by smaller baetis and midge patterns below. Be sure to have a variety of baetis and midge nymphs such as RS2’s, Mayhem’s, and Macgruber’s as well as your midge patterns like Zebra Midge’s, Pal’s Midge’s and Poison Tung’s in sizes #18-20. While indicator rigs have been the most productive for us, don’t shy away from throwing or swinging larger patterns like streamers, as fish are willing to eat larger prey as they begin to warm up. Patterns like the Articulated Goldie, Sex Dungeon, and Peanut Envy are also great at getting some of the larger fish to eat. As always, feel free to call either shop with any questions you may have, and tight lines!
