The Fishery
If you've dreamed of catching chrome bright Salmon until your arms ached, this is the place it happens. Anglers from our Lower Camp have the opportunity to fish the countless Salmon pools in the lower eighteen miles of river. The Kanektok River has strong runs of King, Chum, Sockeye, Pink, and Silver Salmon. These fish are fresh from the sea and quick to attack the fly.
The lower camp is known for its fantastic Salmon fishing but it also has some spectacular fishing for Rainbow, Arctic Char and Dolly Varden. With an abundance of 9 different species of fish, combined with incredible habitat, structure and holding water, the Kanektok river is truly one of the finest flyfishing rivers in Alaska.
