Current Streamflow: 241 cfs @ Encampment

Water has begun to flow on the Encampment and with it fishing has begun to pickup. Flows should remain steady the next few days and will start to increase with the warm weather next week.

Worms, stoneflies and caddis have been a great choice on the Encampment recently with the higher flows. Also, some BWOs be seen hatching some days. This time of year, streamers can be ripped through slower water to find any active fish that maybe around.

Be sure to run a heavier nymph rig through any deeper runs. Be prepared with extra bugs as the river can eat a few up in a day. But to find success early on, heavy rigs run deep are the key.
