Luke Barrick

Luke grew up fishing and hunting in Tennessee before relocating to Northern Colorado in 2016, where he fell into a seasonal rhythm with the water—skiing the high country in winter and returning to the river each spring. While he loves presenting dry flies to rising trout, he’s no purist, thanks to a southern-rooted appreciation for split shot and indicators. Luke brings a mountaineering mindset to group dynamics and risk management, and he’s grateful to share meaningful backcountry moments with friends and clients.

Matt Nisbet

A Fort Collins native, Matt grew up fly fishing across the Front Range and knows local waters inside and out. With family roots in Wyoming’s Saratoga region, he also calls the North Platte and southeastern Wyoming’s high alpine lakes home. A hunter at heart, Matt is often found throwing streamers in pursuit of wild trout. When he’s not on the water, he’s tying flies, chasing whitetails or turkeys, or exploring the hills and rivers around Fort Collins.

Xander Elliot

Xander grew up near Denver camping, hunting, and fishing across Colorado before joining the St. Peter’s crew after moving to Fort Collins to study Journalism at Colorado State. He loves exploring alpine lakes and anywhere good fish can be found. When he’s not on the water, he’s trail running local singletrack, building furniture, or paddle boarding with his wife and dog. Xander takes an education-first approach to guiding and enjoys teaching anglers of all ages and skill levels.

Neal Warner

Born and raised in Fort Collins, Neal grew up fishing the Cache la Poudre and Horsetooth and has been guiding local waters for over a decade. He knows the ins and outs of the area’s fisheries and spends his free time sight-fishing carp, exploring still waters, and chasing fish on saltwater flats. Neal’s guiding focuses on helping new anglers and pursuing warmwater species and tailing carp from his skiff.

Damien Martinez

Born and raised in Fort Collins, Damien began fly fishing at an early age on the Poudre River and South Platte drainage. His lifelong passion for the outdoors grew into a career guiding others to experience both the thrill of the catch and the calm of the water. Connor Murphy

Born and raised in Fort Collins, Connor has been fishing the Poudre and spending time at St. Peter’s since childhood. Fly fishing has been his lifelong passion, and he’s been guiding the Poudre for over a decade, with experience fishing and guiding around the world. An IFFF–certified casting instructor, Connor also teaches many shop classes. He holds a BS in Fisheries Biology from CSU and now works as a fisheries biologist for FlyWater Inc., a local river restoration company. When he’s not on the river, Connor is at home with his wife and son, in the garden, or at his fly-tying desk—and he still believes there’s no better place to be than the Cache la Poudre.

Jason Small

Jason began chasing trout in the Midwest before moving to Colorado, where he’s explored waters across Colorado and New Mexico. After countless hours fishing high mountain streams and gold medal waters in southwest Colorado, he now calls Fort Collins and the Poudre River home. Jason brings a fun, easygoing approach to guiding, focused on building skills and confidence for anglers of all levels. When he’s not on the water, he’s sharing his love of fly fishing with his daughter, tying flies, or enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Kyle Stack

Kyle spends his summers guiding on the Cache la Poudre while working as a local high school administrator during the school year. His passion for fly fishing, from tying flies and reading water to river entomology and the quiet of the Poudre Canyon helps shapes both his guiding and his way of life. Kyle has fished rivers across Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and New Mexico, but always returns to his favorite local water. A natural and encouraging teacher, he’s been sharing his knowledge at St. Peter’s since 2008, guiding trips and teaching classes from Intro to Fly Fishing to Angler’s Entomology. Whether on the river or in the classroom, Kyle offers a great experience for beginners and seasoned anglers alike.

Jarrod Collins

A Colorado native, Jarrod has spent his life exploring the mountains and waters of the Centennial State. While he works as a real estate and marketing consultant, fly fishing is where his true passion lives. Guiding is a passion project for Jarrod, rooted in teaching and helping anglers grow as both fishermen and stewards of the resource. Whether it’s your first cast or you’re refining new skills, Jarrod takes pride in creating memorable days on the water that inspire a lifetime of fishing.
