Waters We Guide
Cache la Poudre River
The Cache La Poudre stands out as one of the few undammed rivers in the state, offering breathtaking canyon views. Located just minutes from our shop, it is our favorite local water and the main location for our guided trips.
Big Thompson River
Beginning as a freestone stream in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Big Thompson River meanders through the beautiful mountain town of Estes Park, into Lake Estes and flows to the east where you can fish the technical tailwater at the top of the canyon.
Grey Reef - North Platte River
When anglers want to catch big fish on big water, we bring them to the Grey Reef. This lower section of the North Platte River provides anglers with the opportunity to catch some very large fish year-round. Despite having access to wadable water, fishing this section from a boat is our preferable way to cover the water effectively.
Miracle Mile - North Platte River
“The Mile,” located in a remote area south of Alcova, Wyoming, is an advanced stretch of water that soon disappears into a series of reservoirs as the North Platte River flows north towards Casper, Wyoming. This world renowned section holds some large fish that will test any fishermans skill.
Rocky Mountain National Park
Just a short drive from Estes Park, Colorado, you'll find the unparalleled beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park. While it may not be renowned as a trophy trout fishery, its allure lies in the abundance of serene sounds, diverse wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and tranquil solitude. This unique blend of elements makes it a truly intimate destination for anglers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Upper North Platte River
The Upper North Platte River flows north from Colorado, into Wyoming along the Snowy Mountain range and through the Medicine Bow National Forest. On your early summer Upper North Platte River guided trip, you will be navigating through clouds of salmon flies, green drakes and caddis as the hatches are really something you must be there for.
Encampment River
Beginning just East of the Continental Divide in northern Colorado, the Encampment River briefly wanders north into Wyoming where it will soon converge with the North Platte River. Offering superb hatches of stoneflies, green drakes, caddis and PMD's, this fishery can produce incredible days of dry fly fishing.
Horsetooth Reservoir
Join us for our local warmwater trips on Horsetooth Reservoir, just minutes from our door in Old Town Fort Collins, where you can broaden your angling horizons and discover new species. These excursions are centered around targeting Smallmouth bass, utilizing boats to navigate and explore the structures along the reservoir's edges.
Lonetree Reservoir
Escape the ordinary and elevate your warm water fishing experience with a trip to Lonetree, our private access lake nestled outside of Loveland in the picturesque front range. Lonetree is a haven for anglers of all skill levels, boasting an abundance of diverse species including Largemouth, white and Hybrid Bass as well as Carp, Walleye and Tiger Musky.
North Fork- North Platte River- Private Water
