St. Peter's Introduction to Fly Tying Class

Introduction to Fly Tying Class

Join us for a tying session at our shop! We would love to introduce you to the next step of your fly-fishing journey. Intro to Fly Tying focuses on the basic tools, materials, and techniques used to tie a variety of different flies. By following along with the instructor, you will progress through the San Juan Worm, Hares Ear Nymph, and Wooly Bugger: three effective and essential flies for any angler. Intro to Fly Tying is a 6 person, 3-hour class normally held in our classroom at our South Shop. We want you to walk away with the skill set needed to tie flies on your own and every student receives a $15 credit for any tools and materials to help feed your new addiction. Tying your own flies and catching fish on them will make your time on the water that much more worthwhile.
