Description

From working fast riffles in search of the first steel of the season to swinging up trout during a mayfly emergence, the Scandi Line from Scientific Anglers can do it all. Designed for throwing smaller steelhead and salmon patterns, this Scandi Line has a braided multifilament core and includes a high-contrast sighter to help quickly identify the hangpoint. Available in 350-510 grain weights, this Scandi Line allows you to dial in your system for nearly any rod in your assortment, and it's a great complement to SA's Sonar Leaders whenever you need to get a little deeper on your swing. A solid tool to have in your box, whether you're casting to Great Lakes fish or swinging on the west coast, the SA Scandi Line is tough to beat.

Features

SA Line ID and Advanced Shooting Technology - Scientific Anglers built their Scandi Line with convenience and distance in mind, and they've outfitted it with all of the tech necessary to get this done. To prevent you from spending an hour flipping through your wallet, the Scandi Line is equipped with SA's Line ID. Line ID is an integrated identification system at the first 1'-2' of the tip that lets you know exactly what head you're grabbing. And to make hitting those far opposite bank shots easy, this line has Scientific Anglers' Advanced Shooting Technology (AST). AST is a patented dry-slick technology that enhances line slickness while decreasing friction and repelling dirt, grime, and other contaminants found in the water. Think of AST as the addition that lets you get an extra several feet out of each cast.

Uses

Streamers and Dry Flies - The Scandi Line was created for fishing smaller streamers, dry flies, and salmon flies. A solid taper to present these imitations with finesse, the Scandi Line lets you throw most flies in your box, and should you need to get a little extra depth to your presentation, this line pairs very well with SA's Sonar Leaders.

Temp

Cold/Moderate - Specifically designed for swinging up steelhead and trout, SA's Scandi Line was built for cold to moderate environments. This means that it does a great job at fishing the environments that trout and steelhead call home, but if you get it into a truly warm/tropical environment, this line will get soft and turn limp.

Taper/Weight

Long Front Taper - Scientific Anglers built their Scandi Line with a relatively long front taper. With this front taper, the Scandi Line allows for long casts, quick pickups, and soft presentations. A versatile taper, the Scandi Line effectively presents anything from classic steelhead patterns to small surface flies.
