Fly fishing is often thought of as a poetic way of catching trout in crystal clear mountain streams. A quiet, surreal experience filled with solitude, peace, and quiet. What we don’t think of is the large, aggressive, warmwater fish that are less than 10 minutes from our driveway right in the middle of Fort Collins.

Part learning, part fishing class. Designed to teach approaches to stillwater, reading water, various stillwater rigs including correct indicator and streamer rigs. We will provide leader/tippet/flies for these various rigs.
Also a chance to fish the well-known Mother Lake at Sylvan Dale. After the instruction portion, we will break up and use our newly learned rigs and skills to fish Mother Lake for the remainder of the class.
