St. Peter's On Water Streamer Tactics Class

On Water Streamer Tactics Class

Streamer: Noun. A fly tied with larger materials often animated under water to imitate smaller fish and larger, protein oriented, food sources. Streamers are actively fished with the intent of catching larger, older, aggressive trout. Verb. Streamer fishing is by far the most active and aggressive way to fly fish.

Streamer fishing is one of the most popular ways to catch fish on a fly rod. Like every technique, there is a learning curve to streamer fishing and certain things to understand in order to fish these flies effectively. What is a streamer? How do I fish it? Am I doing this correctly? We will cover all these topics and more when you join us for a Streamer Tactics class on the Cache la Poudre River. There, students will learn the ins and outs of targeting big trout on streamers. Each student will be provided with notes, equipment, and a handful of streamers to get the gears turning on what a productive, active, and thrilling experience this style of fishing can be. Especially if you wish to target larger fish, streamer fishing can help trigger more aggressive, larger, carnivorous fish compared to other techniques.

Entry into the class includes all gear needed and hand-picked streamers to take home and get your game dialed.
