Chasing blue wing hatches can be extremely fun and lead to some of the best dry fly sips of the year, as fish confidently eat these delicious morsels floating overhead. Being one of our first major hatches of the Spring, fish will at times appear to make the water boil while sipping emerging BWO’s or sipping adults, taking advantage of the early season protein floating on by. Be sure to have an assortment of life stages to match what the fish are keying on early on in the Spring when temperatures can vary greatly and the bug stages can change in a instant.
